Sound Base Studios Trust- Charity No. 1060616
Sound Base Studios Trust was established as a registered charity in 1996.
Sound Base was set up to offer innovative music and art opportunities to young people from all types of backgrounds– including young offenders, school excludes, those at risk of offending and exclusion, and those with learning disabilities.
In 2005 we opened our state of the art new premises providing greater space and disabled access. Our facilities include three recording studios, a live drum room, and the latest industry standard software such as Reason and Cubase. We also have specially built music technology workstations and DJ area.
Our Apple Mac/PC Multimedia Suite has facilities for video production, web design, digital photography and graphic design. Students are able to produce all round promotional material as well as improving employability.
Our main objective is to encourage marginalized young people from all backgrounds and cultures to take part in positive activities with the aim of broadening their life experiences, skills, aspirations, and opportunities.
In 2010 SoundBase received a Grade 2 Level “ Good” from OfSted.
