SoundBase offers the “creative media” course for those aged 16-18 who are not currently in employment, education or training. The course is run for 2 days a week over a 22 week period.

This course is ideal for those with an interest in the creative arts, aswel as for those that want to try something new and improve the qualifications they have on their CV.

During the course you can gain nationally recognised vocal qualifications in Music Technology, Graphic Design and video production as well as Functional Skills and Personal social Development as outlined below.

Learn about recording techniques using industry standard recording equipment such as Reason and Cubase. Everything you need to put your album together

Discover adobe Photoshop and develop skills whilst completing practical exercises (CD/DVD cover designs etc)

Once completed you have various options available to yourself, you could move onto to a Music Technology/Graphic design/Video Course @ College at level 2 or above.

We offer Creative media education and training for young people aged 14-16. In order to attend the young person will need to be referred by the school they are attending, the educational department, or the YOT.

SoundBase are able to offer creative workshops for a variety of ages on request. Previous workshops have been for local community centres, connexions, NHDC etc. These workshops have involved creating a song from scratch with the end product of a CD, Creating Video’s, T shirt/Hat Design, Poster/CD design and DJ Workshops.

We are able to Taylor create a workshop to whatever your needs may be.
